H. Murat Develioğlu

H. Murat Develioğlu graduated from Galatasaray High School and Galatasaray University Faculty of Law. Between 1999 and 2001, he completed his master’s degree in Private Law with a thesis on the Legal Nature of Portfolio Management Agreements. From 2001 to 2005, he pursued his doctoral studies at the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland and obtained his Ph.D. with a dissertation titled “Security Contracts in Light of the Provisions on Suretyship.”

He was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2012 and has been teaching at Galatasaray University Faculty of Law, Department of Civil Law, since 2000. He has also been serving as the head of the department since 2014. His areas of expertise include the law of obligations, family law, inheritance law, contract law, property law, security law, and the CISG. He is a member of the Galatasaray High School Alumni Association and Galatasaray Sports Club.
